Transform regular GPS receiver module into GPS data logger with additional flash memory

Overview
Transform ordinary BONAV GPS receiver into an extraordinary GPS data logger by adding additional flash memory into your design. GPS module can now off-load data logger related tasks from the host processor with embedded algorithm and parameters in its firmware. Programing guide and software are included to save development time, coding effort and cost.

Background
Data logging is one of the most essential functions required for majority of GPS applications such as Geo-tagging, route-recording, and even for advanced real-time vehicle tracking system (AVL) in case communication to the control center is lost.

Typically, GPS module is only capable of acting as a GPS receiver by passing on GPS information in standardized format to host processor for further processing, including sending them to flash memory for recording.

Solution
BONAV data logger solution is in many ways different from the typical solution of using MCU implementation since majority of related algorithm and parameters settings are already embedded directly into the GPS firmware. Considerable time and programming efforts are saved by using this easy-to-implement solution when developing data logger function on GPS and related products.
